Title: Frankenstein merge of CD and vinyl tech

T Bone Burnett is promoting a new type of vinyl without any vinyl in it.  With tech more like a CD, a lacquer layer over a metal substrate, the idea is to sell something more like a metal master than a vinyl record.  Interesting.

He signed a 90 year old Bob Dylan to croak out his oldies?

How is this much different from a 30 year Dylan?

About an octave lower with some marbles in his mouth.

I'm a big fan, but lately he makes Tom Waits sound sweet voiced.  I was only looking at the technology and didn't think about what Dylan would sound like.
