That’s awesome, Samac! Looks like we were both blessed with having musically tasteful, fun loving mother’s!

Out of that list, Genesis and Eric Clapton are the standouts to me!

All excellent artists though!

Yes! I have 3 or 4 Pineapple Thief CDs myself. I should listen to them again! It’s been awhile.

If you’re not familiar with them, you have to check out Opeth. They’re a Swedish progressive rock band. Definitely on the darker side - especially their older stuff, which is more death metal. But their last 5 albums or so have been my style. Very melodic and talented artists, who seem to put on quite a show live! Damnation is probably my favorite album. Then most likely Sorceress. Steven Wilson has said he thinks they’re the best band of all time, or something like that. The band Storm Corrosion is a collaboration between the lead singer/guitarist/songwriter of Opeth Mikael Åkerfeldt. I believe Jack the Cat just made a post on that album

Wilsons’ also produced a few Opeth albums as well if I remember, or mastered them… something along those lines

It is Sunday morning and my AV system is on while I am going thru my mail.

The smart TV is tuned to U-Tube and Analog Audio Hi End. They are on the Audiophile Voice 4 page.

Playback is Tv to Vision solid state preamp to pair of our new M225 mono amps and Salk HT2 TL speakers.

The sound is amazing. Grabs me so much I can’t get anything else done, 🙂

Yep, I know about Opeth. I'm not a fan of their early albums, but their newer material is really good.

Entangled and Ripples to test your midrange and transparency. Dance on a Volcano to test how low and dynamic your speakers really are; when I first started this journey, this was my go to test record. All songs are great and it was their first good recording. What a talented band.
