The JBL CF150 is not the best built nor are they the highest rated - but they have proven their worth to those who have owned them. I actually have 4 and I am the original owner - having used them since I bought them the year I graduated high school in 1991. They brought me many years of listening pleasure but i have now blown the tweeters out of 2 of my 4.
I have searched many forms and found a lot of discussions but never a direct solution. The problem seems to be that the tweeter JBL used in this model was never really used in anything else and has a higher effciency/DB level than most or at least that would otherwise be good solutions.
I will add a post with more details and other discussions. If someone can find a good solution it would be welcomed and appreciated by those who have these and still enjoy both their sound and their imposing presence.
