My EE suggests that since the Fet Valve amps are our oldest current designs, it’s time for a complete new design rather just fitting the current design into a drastically new layout. Given the current unavailability of reasonably priced vacuum tubes, this plan is on hold until we find out if the unavailability of tubes is just a short term issue.

dunno if u gonna stay with 12AT7, but those JJs are still in stock everywhere and retail as low as $19 as high as $30 or so.

the jj 12AT7s are still available everywhere and as low as $19 retail. not sure about the jj 12AU7, but they prolly are as well.
