Title: Well Tempered Classic Motor Problems
Post by: oldsculler on 14 Apr 2023, 03:54 am
First post, so greetings, everyone. I recently acquired a Well Tempered Classic with the round motor. I've spent more than a few hours happily listening to it, but on occasion the motor will slow to a crawl and sometimes even stop mid-record. I have had some temporary success turning the Allen screw at the bottom of the motor counter-clockwise, but this hasn't seemed to effect a permanent fix. Has anyone else had and resolved this problem?

Is the motor stopping or the belt slipping?

It was the motor, specifically the pulley binding against the motor top plate. A drop of oil freed the shaft to rise a bit when the motor starts. All good for now.
