Pictures 3 of 3 (...more pictures if you go to bottom of page 3 of this thread)

Front: 4 GIK Tri-corners with DIY bases (to fill 9' ceiling); Monster Trap under plasma
Left side: 242 with old church window
Right side: 242 with violin hanging in empty frame (no glass)
Back: 3 Monsters Traps
Hidden: 1 242 inside closet on side wall (I open the closet and use it as a trap of sorts -- the other side of the room is a long hall, so the closet / hall break-up the back wall)

Nice job on the room.  It looks good.
How does it sound now, and do you still cover your TV with something?

It sounds great. I went to a new tube-based preamp (RWA Isabella) that has smoother highs, so there was less need to cover the TV. I also ended up with a Monster Trap below the TV that likely bleeds off some front-wall reflections. Hopefully it may also be helping a bit for bass cancellation, even though it is not on the traditional 45% angle (this trap is 6" thick, and because of the base board, sits out almost an inch at the floor).

I just sold my Compact Hemps (and my ACI sub is for sale), and am replacing with Omega's new Super 6 Alnico Monitor and a DeepHemp. Once they are in, I will reevaluate the TV to see if covering it with something helps (moving the 242 in and out was a bit of a pain).

I am very pleased with both the sound and the way the room looks -- unfortunately the camera does not do a good job of picking up colors and such. But it has a nice feel. My wife even likes the way it looks (surprisingly enough!).

Other than new speakers, I still want to order new speaker cables and do more to hide the wires. Then I will be done (at least for a while  ).

Update: Electronics are now Red Wine Audio HPA and Sig30.2 LFP-V Edition. Speakers are now Omega Super 6 Monitors with Omega Deep Hemp. I'm still a happy camper.

I also purchased Timbernation maple bases for the electronic components and sub.
