Anybody see this (http://cls.audiogon.com/cgi-bin/cls.pl?spkrfull&1134005925)?

They're shown on www.reference3a.com, but no info yet...

Had not seen it before, thanks for sharing. Nice to see that Reference 3A is developing and bringing new speakers to the market.
Price wise the Veena is positioned between the De Capo I and the Royal Virtuoso.

The Veena looks like the little brother of the L'Integral Nouveau, in a similar way like the De Capo compares to the Royal Virtuoso.

Btw, the Veena info is now clickable on the ref3a site !

Intriguing!  I love my Dulcets, but was beginning to itch for an upgrade. Perhaps this is it?  I hope people will post as they get a chance to audition...

If this works, this avtalk site has a tantalizing preliminary reaction to the new Veena, along with pics.  Sounds very promising indeed.

I picked up my new Veenas on Saturday.  It was love at first listen; to be cautious I did spend a couple of hours with them at my local dealer, and took them home on approval.  The outcome was never really in doubt.

They perform very much like Dulcets all grown up, only better, and with a real bottom end.  They retain the wonderful direct, open- throated liveliness of the Dulcet and de Capo, but the treble is even more pristine and detailed.  The richness of the mid-range and the bass weight...well, give them a listen if you can.  A fine evolution of an already excellent line... I've got to get home and hear more...

The Ref 3A website does not show a picture of the drivers in the Veena, but I'm guessing from other info supplied that the Veena is basically a floor-standing Dulcet, not a floorstanding DeCapo.  Can anyone confirm?

The Veena's tweeter and mid-bass driver are both brand new, as I understand it.  The mid-bass driver is woven carbon fibre and measures about 7 inches; larger than the Dulcet, smaller than the De Capo.  I find its performance substantially more refined than either, but every bit as alive.

Because I had the Dulcets at home for more than a year, I do tend to think of the Veena as grown-up Dulcets, but I don't mean that literally. You could just as well describe them as more elegant de Capos, but that wouldn't quite do justice to the evolutionary step either.

Because I was trading in my Dulcets, I'm not exactly sure; I think MSRP comes in around $3400-3600 Canadian.
