What you are hearing is ultra-low distortion combined with the best spectral decay around.  It's not that the driver is "sweet" sounding, it's more that it's not adding any nastiness that most other drivers DO add.  Like I said, a really remarkable driver.  You should hear 4 of them in a stacked quad

Yeah, Tool has some pretty complex  stuff going on in many of their tunes

Thought to share a quick update on the project. I got the Super Mini parts to add to the Neo 10 drivers I had. Built out some baffles and won’t tell you how long that took. The IPhone must have hit built in limiters or something as musical peaks got killed, but you can get a basic idea of what’s going on. Bottom line: very promising and I like it. Electrostatic speed and air, very dynamic with power, and easy to drive. Kind of a destination speaker. Only thing I would replace them with would be the actual Line Forces, or Jazzman53 DIY Electrostats.

The one major difference is that I have them crossed over at 400hz and use the 12" P audio driver below 400hz. I really like that combination.
