It was an informative afternoon/evening at olive central.
Tim and Matthew lead the discussion that included 4 olive users.
It seems everyone has the same gripes concerning the user interface and its usability. Tim assured us a new interface is in the works and his goal was next generation ideas for a server. What information do you want displayed or available with your music? What search/sort functions do you want available? What do you want displayed?
The two hours passed quite quickly. I have been involved in product R&D as a prototype machinist and I can assure you the costs can be staggering. I can only imagine trying to develop a next generation operating system that rivals the usability of mac or wmp, on a discrete budget.
