Only w/ the Monos (not extreme) I thought there was upper midrange glare and a cold clinical sound. Not my cup of tea. I think most of the post in the Ref3a circle suggest avoiding any SS amps.
The owner of the DC's didn't particularly like them w/ the Odyssey's either.
The DCi sounded best at my place w/ the little Onix SP3 integrated. The best I've heard them sound was at a dealer powered by ASL 18w triode monos. The mids and upper registers were glorious, though the bass was a bit flabby.
