Must be the same chassis supplier...? 
They are both budget pieces. I would not be surprised if the chassis supplier was the same. Having said that, they do not have the same dimensions according to their respective web pages. One runs on 12V the other 14V. One has gain settings of 40 and 50 the other of 40 and 60. They aren't the same phono stage (though I guess it's possible that Simaudio contracted someone to design it for them, though unlikely). At that price point, I am not surprised. Do you want to pay for fancy casework or performance?
