Silver TX102 based pre-amp needs a new home.
« on: 12 Dec 2010, 10:32 pm »
Hello!

I am working with a fellow on a custom build and he had planned at first to scoop the  transformers out to be used in the project. The project design has changed and now this unit needs a good home. That is just as well - it is all finished up as a pre-amp and it always strikes me as a shame to tear one like this down for parts! The specs are:

Original Pre-amp kit case (black case with volume center and a source select on each side.

TX102 MK II Silver transformers with OCC Silver Neotech internal wiring.

Seiden  Model 45 (large frame) volume switch and model 32 source selects

3 RCA Inputs (One WBT Topline)
2 RCA outputs (one WBT topline)

No remote can be fit to it but for a manual pre-amp it will do a fine job. He is wanting $700 for it and I think the price is pretty firm - but that seems pretty fair since these raw trannies would have sold for at least that much back when they were still made.  It is in my shop now and is all checked out. Measures and sounds great.  If you have an interest give a call or an e-mail and we can figure out the best plan to get it to you.

Thansk!

John
