Hi James

Bryston changed the amplifier faceplates cosmetics when the capacitor changes were implemented by changing the ends from square cut to radiused

When were the BP-26 and MPS-2 faceflates changed from square cut to radiused to match (from which serial numbers onwards)

Hi - around the same time but I will have to check on actual serial numbers.

Hi James,
I have a 3 year old BCD and it has the square cut ends . Can it be changed to the newer radiused end faceplate to match my BP26 and powersupply.

If it can, would you know the cost of the new plate?

Thank you,

-Mark

Hi 1oldguy (to another)
(Maybe re-post this in another thread)
I also get the same thing happening once in awhile, and either have to eject the cd, set it to standby or pull the plug to reset the unit.

Hi James

Wondering if there is a way to fix the problem with the BCD-1 showing error? Is this a common thing?

When I bought the first of two 1.5 phono, it came with the squared off ends. A few weeks later I ordered a second 1.5 and it was the next serial number and had the rounded off ends! This was March 2010.
I returned the first one as I preferred the second ones sound a lot more.
So right now I use a Audio Research SP-15 just for the phono section for my second TT

I find that i get that error message showing up only when i use the "play" button on the unit itself and sometimes when open/close the tray.
The error message has never occured when using the remote for any of it's functions.

@ James, thanks for Mike's email.

Hey Robert,
I actually had that same picture as my background picture for the computer. I almost was going to ask James some time back if Bryston would introduce a third colour of dark metallic grey colour. The picture appears more of a dark metal grey than the silver due to the shadows and i think Brystons gear would look great in it
What do you all think??

I've had the error problem for quite some time. I thought it was poltergeist activity in my home, not. Still there are other incidents that I can't explain.

With the error message I would just push the tray shut with my finger and then power down and up again. But all you have to do is push the tray in slightly with your finger and press the open button. It then says 'insert disc' then press the open button again to 'close' and the error message is gone. :|
