The gasket and surround came off my Titan II
« on: 26 Mar 2010, 01:32 pm »
I never even knew there was a problem until the gasket fell off. The woofer looks like it has sagged quite a bit over the years. I guess gravity has won the battle.

Nothing is torn. The surround is still half way attached. It looks like something I could just glue back on. The only real problem is the sag in the woofer. I don't want to glue it back on only to have it break off again because of the added strain of the sag.

I want to fix this, but money is tight and I can't replace the woofer. I have two questions...

-Is there any way to reverse the sag in the woofer?

-What kind of glue should I use to re-attach the gasket and surround?

Any help is appreciated!

Silicone adhesive will probably work, at least for awhile. The long-term solution is to contact Meniscus Systems. I'm pretty sure they can re-build to new specs for probably less than you think it will cost . . .
