HI Folks,

Just a heads up for what was already a long wait for product for our customers may get a bit longer as we are now in another 28 day shut down due to Covid cases rising. :duh:

I was about to ship one of my SP-1.7s to get serviced from Germany to Canada. Is your receiving department active during shutdown or should I wait and ship later?

You know I just saw this post again and realized Parts Connexion is in Ontario which is probably why my order hasn’t shipped yet. Wow, 28 days.

Would it be good to start shipping my SP-1.7 now?

I have another SP-1.7 as a spare, so it would not be a problem if the service takes a few more days. I just want to avoid the shipment being returned to Germany because of not being deliverable due to the lockdown in Canada...

Best to be locked down if necessary. Trust the science. However, I cannot wait until its over so I can send in my SP3 for the 2.0b HDMI upgrade.

You can but we are still in lockdown till mid July.  We went to stage 2 today but another 21 days till stage 3.

I finally did send my SP1.7 in for repair at the end of August.

It has arrived at Bryston on Friday, September 24, 2021, after a 4 week journey via standard postal parcel from Germany. ;)

What about the current repair/service backlog on digital products? Or in other words, any guess, when my SP1.7 might be looked at by Mike or another service engineer?

Hi Markus

I would email Mike and ask where it is in the Q - we are starting to make headway on repairs but the issue is parts - there is a serious world-wide shortage.
