Did enjoy their music, especially when I was young.  Watched the TV show back in the 70's, it made me laugh as a kid.  Shame to loose those that put a smile on your face but at least he's left many with fond memories.

Ditto... one of the earliest "must-watch" shows I remember.  Gained some new respect for them more recently when I cam across their movie "HEAD" made after the show was cancelled.  Going to get some people together and play the DVD this weekend in memory of Davy.

Directed by Bob Rafelson, co-wrote by Jack Nicholson and featuring Victor Mature, Frank Zappa, Annette Funicello, Teri Gar, Sonny Liston... you might even glimpse Dennis Hopper and Toni Basil in a couple scenes.

I met Davy after a show in the early 1990s.  He put on a great show in Tiverton RI at the Coachman. He was very nice and autographed everything I had, and posed for pictures with us.  He will be missed.
