Can I get some clarification about the purpose of this thread please? When the op first posted "What jazz ALBUM are you listening to?", by ALBUM, the op specifically meant vinyl and not CDs, yes?

KP I don't think Larry meant either format specifically, it's a generic terminology. Most of what I post are CDs, but on occasion when the spirit spins me I'll post an LP. As to a purpose, to share new & old music from artists we know but have forgotten, or ones we never picked up on as well as new folks. At least that's my best guess, maybe he'll chime in. Stay cool Sir  :thumb:

Thanks AD. I'm old enough to remember when ALBUM meant vinyl record in a cardboard jacket and paper sleeve. Expanding the definition to include CDs and streamed music certainly opens up possibilities.

Cheers and take care,
KP

I asked about posting CDs early on and was told it was OK to do so. It's about the music, not the medium.

Hard to tell from 18k posts ago, but the definition should include any delivery format as far as I'm concerned.

Just saw post #2 was from lonewolf. Hope he comes back someday.

Yep, I'm sure there was no intent to limit the format. It's about the music, not the format . And agreed, hope all is well with Chris & he returns to posting someday.  :thumb:
