Ronnie Foster - Love Satellite

Hey Voyager,

Welcome to AC.  Interesting Ronnie Foster selection.  I need to look into that one.  I have his Two Headed Freap on vinyl and want to add more of his stuff to my collection.

Thad Jones/Mel Lewis on Blue Note reissue- music from the mid to late 60's. Big band style jazz when the radio was playing Beatles, Stones, Credence, and Sly.  I had no idea this music existed- thank goodness that one can still discover new music at 61 (even though it's 45 years old).
Can't find a pic that will post. If curious look here.  http://www.amazon.com/VINYL-ALBUM-BLUE-NOTE-1975/dp/B009MLNY9M/ref=sr_1_10?s=music&ie=UTF8&qid=1392693070&sr=1-10&keywords=thad+jones+mel+lewis+blue+note

^ Can't go wrong with that one AD! I picked up a German ECM pressing of Timeless recently. It'll be interesting to see how it stacks up to the U.S. pressing.  :thumb:

In the meantime . . .

Cool CB  :thumb: Not sure which mine is, or which my CD is. Apparently there were 2 releases of it as well, both of which are pricey via Azon, but one is VERY pricey @ $90+ new. Appears there was a domestic & import release on CD in '94.

That looks pretty sweet as well. Should be getting 3 more remaster sets soon. Jimmy Smith, Grant Green, & Freddie Hubbard. New tunes to keep things interesting. Keep 'em spinnin' buddy  :thumb:

2-CD set contains tracks culled from his Muse Records period throughout the 70s and 80s.
All excellent recordings.
