the look of love
STANLEY TURRENTINE (Artist) | Format: Vinyl

Not up there with his other early BN offerings, but pleasant enough background music for morning coffee.

Dent-  Oh, wow, Season of the Witch, eh.  Don't remember hearing their version.  I'll look and see if I have it.  I might.  Cheers.

jimd - There's two options for the original version with Julie that I know of, Streetnoise which was a dbl LP, and a later compilation of Brian, Julie & the Trinity called Season of the Witch. I think it was a dbl LP as well, though I only have the 1st. Both are available on CD, and Brian's daughter Savannah does good versions on both Looking In The Eye of The World (studio), and live on the Live at the Baked Potato CDs. She's pretty easy on the eyes as well on the Baked Potato DVD.  8)

Welcome mate. Afraid I must however correct myself, was trusting to old memory which was faulty, Streetnoise has their version of Light My Fire, not Season of the Witch:duh:  I just did a check on azon and they show 1 copy of the Season of the Witch CD, as well as another compilation of Julie's called Kind of Love in 1967-1971, which have it. The latest Oblivion Express (In The Eye) has Savannah doing both. That's what I get for not actually looking at the disc before speaking, someday if I get old enough I'll learn.  Happy listening.  :thumb:
