Does anyone actually like this ??!!
I’m watching on a 50 inch screen and the in pictures look so tiny !!!
Luckily espn also offers another station with full screen images from over the offensive side , but no commentators
I had to shuffle back and forth
This was for the College championship games
I hate the split screens ! Who needs to see the coaches at the bottom ??!!

Why are you watching on a 50" screen???
Get that screen upgraded!
George

I have a 120 inch movie screen , just didn’t use it .
Guess I’ll try it for the big game , maybe

I watched a normal telecast with commentators for both games, here. No split screen.

Worse than the coaches/sidelines was watching 4 play by play personalities waddling around like a clutch of ducklings.

I've seen them do that for commercial breaks during NFL games. I guess that's better than a full screen car commercial.
I've also seen them do that for the end of one game and beginning of another, simultaneously. That annoys me.
I would hate the quad-split screen, even with my 75 incher.

i watched the entire game and didn't see split screen. Normal view, commentators (Kirk Herbstreet IIRC), etc.
bottom right of your pic says "Traditional Telecast on ESPN" so I believe you chose that maybe unknowingly. and I would say that some people must prefer it else they wouldn't offer it.

ESPN had the game on three networks , one being ABC. I know, espn is part of abc and abc i believe is owned by the woke of disney. Each network had a different type of broadcast. I don’t remember which had which version of the broadcasts but, one of them had the regular old version like we’ve watched for decades.
I was aware of the different broadcasts, but like the OP the one I started watching was totally effed up. Fortunately I found the right broadcast in a heartbeat.

Political statements are not allowed on AC. As are the racist statement you made on another thread.

In the last weeks, they had the early rounds of the Australian Open Tennis Championship.
They sometimes showed two matches, split screen. Not worth watching.
In golf they can keep track of 18 or more shots and only show on at a time, why cant other sports?

But my sports pet peeve is:
On location per & post game shows. With rowdy fans louder the the commentators.
