I recently picked up a Mapleshade modded Hiface USB-S/PDIF adapter. For some reason I can't seem to install the driver on my 2011 i5 2.3GHz Mac Mini running OS 10.7.1. I downloaded the appropriate driver from M2Tech and it appears to install successfully. I restart and go to the Sound Pref pane and the driver isn't there. All that's there is the Internal Speakers and MEUSLCD1 which I believe is the HDMI driver.
I have tried to install the driver on my iMac running 10.6.8 and the same thing happens. I know I'm doing something stupid...help
If you read this far, I figured it out... I copied the driver installer off the dmg and onto my local drive. I didn't read anywhere that you need to do that, but I might have missed it.
