Clayton Audio Amps with nOrhs?
« on: 20 Jul 2005, 04:58 am »
I did a bit of research tonight on Clayton Audio, which I had never heard of previously.  Here is part of a note I received from a Clayton Audio owner:

Quote
For speakers that thrive on high-current amps, the Claytons are spectacularly good. I purchased an early pair of M-70s, and they were an exceptional match for the Legacy Signature IIIs I owned at the time. For those speakers that thrive on watts rather than amps, the Claytons are not a product of choice.

Mike Barnes says the nOrhs aren't power-hungry in stock form, as he drives all his personal speakers with SET amps.  Since I've never heard of speakers thriving on amps (amperes?) rather than watts, I'm hoping someone can enlighten me on this and tell me whether Clayton Audio amps would be a good mate for the nOrhs.

Thanks!
Howard

Yeah, they would be a pretty good match...

Lot's of good amps for the nOrh.  I like Odyssey amps..they have a circle here.

Van Alstine would be a good match too.
