I'm pretty much thinking that at 85db listening/95db at the 1 meter distance...I'm not really driving them so hard that there is much distortion for normal music listening. I'm more concerned that introducing some kind of a high pass device..something like the
https://www.marchandelec.com/xm46-pllxo.html Marchand passive crossover to route 45hz and above to the ST's has its own phase, timing and tone problem because I doubt that a high pass can really be introduced without causing its own set of problems....then comes the issue of blending in a sub which further compounds everything....
All of which leads me to believe that I'm better off with the STs full range and then a sub for 45hz and below...approximately.
Have you ever had anyone blow out the 6" Seas W16s because they played them too loud?
Is the RAAL even more sensitive than the Seas.
No matter, all of the above, the sound is just amazing and I plan to post a review in the "what speakers did you replace" section.
