System Overview

I've been on the hunt for new speakers for most of 2021 and just landed a mint pair of Spatial Audio X3. Next step is to find a new preamp to replace my Emotive Audio Epifania, which I sold late November.

Music Preferences

Classic rock, folk, jazz, big-band, 70's and 80's Brit pop/rock, some metal.

Room Description

Dedicated room in a CIRCA 1910 farmhouse, nestled on 60 acres in the Virginia countryside. The room is a pain to be honest. I'd like to redo the whole thing with new deco and a more coordinated approach to room treatments, but I can't be bothered.

Acoustic Treatment

7 QRD diffusers. Various other panels and such, including ho-made bass traps etc.

Listening Impressions

The room has some difficulties producing low bass along with standing wave anomalies that I mostly take care of with a quad of EQ'd subs.

Media Storage

Closets and stuff for vinyl, digital is stored on an 8TB Seagate.
