Hello from Iowa
« on: 21 Jan 2020, 12:25 am »
I've been building systems, playing with audio since the 70's. Last 15 years have had a pretty good variety of equipment. I've rebuilt a few pairs of speakers recently. I guess I'm a tinker, always taking things apart and trying to improve them, or at least put them back together and make them work.

Current system is Dahlquist 10's which I rebuilt. J.M. Reynaud Offrande upgraded with Mundorf Supreme capacitors, Thor TA-1000 preamp, Thor TPA 60 EL34 Mono-blocks, Modwright/Logitech Transporter.

  • To whom more was given more will be required.

Welcome! - Love DQ10s - never had the right room for them.  Many moons ago I owned the Dahlquist sub and electronic crossover and wanted DQ10s but just didn't have the right room.

:D Thank you all for the warm welcome!

FullRangeMan, I have been interested in building a pair of full range single driver speakers and getting a flea powered amp. I may be looking for some direction on speakers and designs.

Phil A, The DQ10s were bought on a whim off local craigslist. Just something to play around with but really like the way they sound after rebuilding them.
