I thought this was a joke, but apparently not. For big city dwellers it's probably a must - if it also has noise cancelling technology.

It won’t sell because the people wearing it look incredibly stupid.

I think Dyson missed their window of opportunity.  It might have sold during the height of the panic during the pandemic.  But there's no compelling reason to buy these things now.

WRONG, these headphones specifically are NOT designed as a replacement for an N95 or any facial cover. There's literally zero compelling reason to buy it.

I'll stick to the headgear I'm currently using thank you very much.

It just doesn't seem as if there would be a lot of overlap between the affluent urban population and the urban population that spends most of their day outdoors.

It might work for someone who makes a decent living from tourists by playing a Tron character in Times Square. But the average annual AQI in New York City is actually less than 50, which is pretty good, so even that guy might not see the benefit. $1000 could buy some pretty nice Tron costume upgrades.

I bet they sold some during the Canadian wild fires. Air quality was seriously dangerous. Sadly, more disasters like this will continue to come. I think they look crazy, but these are crazy times we live in.

Looney Toons cray cray.  But an interesting post nonetheless.
