Title: Vista phono MK3
Post by: WireNut on 4 Sep 2014, 02:12 am
Hi Boris,

Is there a Vista Audio MK3 phono stage currently in the works?

Hi Steve,

Yes, Phono-1 MkIII is in the works. This revision is driven by necessity to change sheet metal supplier - the chassis will be the only new part in the MkIII. Electronics and power supply are not affected.

There will be no change in performance, and price is expected to remain $299 as Phono-1 enters the 6th year on the market (wow - I just figured that out - time really flies!).

Phono-1 MkIII is expected to be available in November.

Best,
Boris

Thanks for the follow up!

Since the new chassis is very similar to the old one, I decided to keep the Mk II designation. The new chassis is slightly larger (better cooling of internal electronics), has durable powder coating and silkscreen printing, but electronic assembly inside is unchanged. The new units are in stock in the US and Europe.
