Louis, how about a nearfield speaker for computer stations?

How about designing a speaker specifically for nearfield (2 - 5 ft.) listening distances for all of us who work at computer workstations? I have seen others using the Fostex FF 165k driver for nearfield listening applications. Perhaps it could be the SuperClose 4 speaker? Do you think the present Super 3 would be the best existing speaker for nearfield listening?

I am using the Super3 R as my "computer speakers".
I have a computer based digital source setup so it is just simple for me to use it with my computer. It sounds great.

How are you and it's great to see you here.

Moltosolo is right about the Super 3 working great as computer speakers. Lately I have built a number of super 3 and TS3s for computers. They work very well in the nearfield due to lack of a wizzer cone and the small size of the driver has better soundstaging too. The drivers are also completely sheilded with bucking magnets and steel cups so no worries about placing them close to a monitor. Both speakers are easy to place and you can place them against the back wall without hurting the sound.
