Great music – and one of the best sounding LPs I've ever heard.

This just came on my Pandora Jazz channel today.  Awesome stuff!!!

ETA: I love hearing the classic live recordings made in jazz clubs back in period.  If for no other reason than the ambient noise of people drinking, talking, partying, etc.  Nowadays if you had someone like Miles or Monk performing there would be dead, reverent silence.  Back then it was just jazz music in a club.

If I could live in any period other than the current one, it'd probably be the span of years between the Korean and Vietnam wars.  Before I was born.  Things were so cool.  Connection huh?

Is that a good representation of the jazz music on Pandora?

Pandora plays whatever you tell it to, and (fortunately for me) creates an algorithm from that which then adds relevant alternatives and introduces you to new music it figures you might like as well.  I've learned a lot that way.  I really like the "Music Genome Project" as they advertise it but the SQ could be a bit better.  Every streaming service I know of compresses the signal to save bucks.
