An introduction

HI!

I recently built a pair of Cornet2's. A disabled friend funded my project as he wanted a Cornet2 built and I wanted to build one but was (still am?) too broke to build myself one.

So, he generously funded the build of a basic unit for me and for himself.

I really enjoyed building my Cornet2s.

Here is a pic of my finished unit playing.

I am going to roll some caps and tubes once I get used to the overall sound of the Cornet2 in my system.

So far I really dig it. The Cornet2 *KILLS* my restored ARC SP-6A's phono section (that, I did not expect) and is easily the finest Phono Preamp that has ever graced my system.

Thanks for providing such a killer project Jim!

Hi, it looks like you're using a 5Y3G rectifier. Have you (or anyone else) compared the 5Y3G with a 5Y3GT?
