Ukrainian "Baby SE"?
« on: 4 Sep 2019, 09:04 pm »
Has anyone encountered this little integrated amp? Two sources, volume knob. I bought it off that auction site on a whim for $250. I just plugged it into my Omega Compact Alnico's (swapping out my Croft Photo Integrated). It's shockingly good. A 6SL7GT driving two 6P7S power tubes, which, from what I can gather, is a Soviet version of the 807.

All I've found out about it so far comes from this thread, courtesy google translate:

Output power ~ 3W, at a load of 4-8 Ohms
Sensitivity - 0.7V Frequency response
- 50Hz ... 24kHz, at 0.7 (-3dB)
Output impedance - less than 1ohm
Non-linear distortion - less than 2%
The background level at the output is less than 1.5mV.

Not sure yet, I'll open it up over the weekend...  The sound is really quite good.

The 807 run single ended is a VERY nice sounding tube.  I ran a pair of those for a long time in my Dennis Had Inspire amps.

Gustavo, I doubt that this is triode strapped.  Getting 3 watts, such a low output impedance, and low distortion is very optimistic.  My guess is that it is ultralinear.
