Welcome Derek! I am the notorious person that started this thread but have, unfortunately, not been able to meet up at any of the gatherings that Greg has hosted.  I hope to soon! I am also in GH!

Welcome Derek. I've been guilty of being busy with life and not being able to attend any of the gatherings myself. Hope to one time this year and that should get the ball rolling!

I have a pair of M3TurboS's that aren't hooked up to anything and if you're close by, you're welcome to hear them with your gear. PM and we'll figure something out.

Thanks guys for the warm welcome!

SFdude, thank you for the offer!  I may take you up on that, I’m really digging these M4 turbo S, though the M3’s are way out of my price range. I will probably just refurb my Forte II’s though, they could use new stuff.

Dave,

I tried PM’ing you but kept getting an error message.  I’d love to hear the M3’s, my schedule rotates so what ever days are convenient for you...

Peter, thanks for keeping this thread alive!

It's 2020 so, I think it's about time I host!  I have a big house but a small listening room, really only good for three (3) max!

I am in Gig Harbor and would love to have a few of you over!

Not like there's a line to attend, but let me know if you're interested.

My system is as follows:

Magico M3 Speakers
Marantz MA9S2 Mono Amps, SA7S2 Preamp and SA10 spinner
TT is a custom plinth with VPI components
Cartridge are a Benz Micro ACE Mono and an ACE SL, both low output.  I still need to fine tune the ACE SL as I just sold the Ortofon Cadenza Black, and miss it already!

Cables, those are all DIY, btw.

Let's see what weekend works, maybe late February?

Thanks and please respond and hopefully there's interest and we can make something work.

Best,
Tuan

I've never visited Gig Harbor. I notice it is located near to Tacoma, which is a much easier and shorter drive from my neck of the woods.

Late February is wide open for me. I'll text Gregfisk to see if he's interested.

Thanks, Tuan!

I’d normally be willing to make the trek down, but I’m out of town that weekend.

Tuan, thank you for offering to host.

Definitely Flo!

I'll send out more information as to where and when...etc.

Again, I think I can accommodate about 2-3 max...it's a small room with lots of stuff in it.

Y'all have fun, boyos.  Wish I could make it but not feasible now or in the near future however if another one happens later in the year I'll try to find a way.

Tuan

The 29th would be best for me. I've got a Feb. 28th afternoon meeting in Vancouver, WA. I can stay the night in Vancouver/Salmon Creek and drive to Gig Harbor Saturday morning, or I could spend the night in/near Tacoma and be all rested and bright-eyed for the G2G.

Greg replied and said he cannot make it. He's going to be visiting his daughter.

I had a routine surgery on my right foot Tuesday and the stitches don't come out until the 2nd.  Can't drive until then so I won't be able to make it.  Have a good time guys!
