The Outlaw does look great!  Do not want to spend quite that much though.

I agree the Denon does look good at $499.

The only other one I am considering is the Emotiva TA1.

     https://emotiva.com/products/basx-ta1-stereo-preamp-dac-tuner-with-integrated-amplifier

Perhaps this would pair nicely with the LGK's.

1 pair - stereo high-pass outputs; with fixed 90 Hz Linkwitz-Riley high-pass filter.  Wish the main speakers only received 90 Hz and above, the high pass filter is only on the stereo out RCA connections.
1 - subwoofer output; with fixed 90 Hz Linkwitz-Riley low-pass filter.

Outputs
1 pair - stereo full range main outputs.
1 pair - stereo high-pass outputs; with fixed 90 Hz Linkwitz-Riley high-pass filter.
1 - subwoofer output; with fixed 90 Hz Linkwitz-Riley low-pass filter.
1 - high performance stereo headphone output.
Analog Performance (line level)
Maximum output level: 4 VRMS.
Frequency response: 5 Hz to 50 kHz +/- 0.04 dB.
THD+noise: < 0.001% (A-weighted).
IMD: < 0.004% (SMPTE).
S/N ratio: > 120 dB.
Crosstalk: < 90 dB.
Analog Performance (speaker outputs)
60 watts RMS/channel; 8 Ohms; both channels driven; 20 Hz – 20 kHz; THD < 0.02%.
100 watts RMS/channel; 4 Ohms; both channels driven; at 1 kHz; THD < 1%.
Minimum load impedance: 4 Ohms.
Rated impedance: 8 Ohms.
Frequency response: 20 Hz to 20 kHz +/- 0.15 dB; 5 Hz to 80 kHz +0/-1.8 dB.
S/N ratio: > 116 dB.

Saw the Emotiva TA1, and it looks like there are silver colored spade connectors on the inside of the TA1 case connecting to the 5 way binding post.

That is too bad, on one of the GR-Research videos I believe that Danny mentioned that those electrical connectors are not good for audio purposes.

That Onkyo is rated for 6-8ohm speakers.  Check with GR research on the impedance of the LGK's
Nominally 8ohms
there's is a dip to 4 ohms at the top, but there's not much power behind those higher frequencies, so its not an issue vs lower frequencies.

I would not worry about that.  It is fine for inexpensive audio gear.   The Denon is going to be more reliable and you are not paying for a tuner with the Denon as it is an integrated.

So I'm in the process of putting together the flatpack for the LGK 2.0
When I have the cabinet assembled I should put a round over on the front of it?

Yes. Left and right corners on the front.
Top/bottom/sides are all optional.

@Danny, @Hobbs, others

How do these sound compared to LGK 1.0 ?

I have several pairs of the LGK 1.0 speakers and love them.
Am curious on your view how the two speakers compare.

Thanks

Ok now I'm assembling the filter. Whats the small unmarked cap for and where does it go?? I'm counting 8 parts but seeing 7 on the schematic. I feel stupid
Is there a photo of this most recent version of this? Thanks

The unlabeled cap is the 0.01uF Gen 3 Sonicap bypass.
It bypasses the main Sonicap in the circuit.

Gimme a second, and ill draw something up on how it should be assembled with the smaller bypass.

Thanks! I think my schematic is missing the bypass cap and has one of the resistor values listed incorrectly. Is that possible or could I have been reading it wrong?

Hard to say. Ill need to double check the schematic so see what's written on it.

Shoot me a DM with the value you think is wrong and I can verify if what you have is correct.

I looked at the schematic and it is correct.
Placement  order is a little different than what I drew, but still works in exactly the same way.

Looking at the driver's posted t/s parameters, there are some missing like (Sd, Xmax and max power).

Can you help?

Thanks,

Rick

We'll add them.

Sd is 30.78 sq. cm
X-Max is 2.5mm
Max peak power full range is 30 watts.
Max peak power with limited low end (first two octaves filtered) is 60 watts.

So I just got my pair of LGKs up and running last night and all I can say is WOW! These speakers are incredibly transparent and natural sounding. Compared to the NX-Studios, they actually image a little better. They also do surprisingly well in a typical sized bedroom. The bass is shockingly good for such a small speaker. I only have a couple hours on them so far so I am expecting a lot more improvement to come.

My apartment living room is roughly 20x14 and i can push these pretty far with my Sprout 100, even on bass heavy tracks like "Flight of the Cosmic Hippo." You do lose some of the deep power, but there's still plenty of grunt and texture to be had, even without the subs.

They image super well, the only thing I've heard that beats them so far is the original Wedgies, which have a very narrow baffle which is only ~4.5" wide?

I've got about 150-200 hours on mine so far. And I'm still really enjoying them.

As mine continue to break in, I can hear where they are going. These things are a masterpiece. They really are.
