Good morning, I am an amateur audiophile and just really getting started in the hobby. Looking forward to getting some
good information from you all as I get more into this world of Audio.

Welcome to AC!

I remember starting out in late 2013 thinking my $2000 budget would get me some decent audio gear. Boy, did that change (I spent just a wee bit more).

Welcome!

If you want to save money do two things: stream and go with headphones.

If you want listen in-room you'll need multiple subwoofers and a non-small/square room that's insulated and dedicated to audio to do it right.

It you want to use vinyl be prepared to spend $$$$$ on records to develop a decent library and getting up every 20 minutes to flip the record.

Fran the Man used to drive my Dad crazy on Sundays. But our defense back then were second to none.
