  hello wise AC peeps. Need a spinner only ,,,,so do the old first gen Oppo's optical out ports bypass the dac inside. ????  I really don't know but sure need to know ?  Thanks.

  But I see the integrated amp has one 'Digital In' via Coax , but on the oppo the coax says 'digital out'   so the oppo will be sending a dig signal ? Need an analog Sig to the amp as it's dac is modern....Confused monkey. Really don't want to short circuit this new amp,,,,ha.    Can you use Front/Mixed rca's out on the oppo to the analog 'line in' on the amp ?   Good lord

Yes, the coax or optical are always digital out, bypassing the dac, and can feed the digital inputs on a dac, amp, etc.
Just make sure the oppo digital outs are set to "pcm" through the onscreen menus to keep things simple.
If you need analog use the "front" rcas provided on the oppo. Make sure those outputs are set to stereo or mixed in the onscreen setup menu as well.
 Pretty simple, actually.
