The Tchaik is mostly an isolation transformer. It uses a tiny bit of induction, ferrite?. My experience is not good with ferrite. One of my customers does not like them either, and promptly sent back a unit based on them. I've found even putting ferrite beads on cords is bad. But I haven't heard the Tchaik, so I can't say for sure.
The Running Springs is a bit harder to know what is going on. The filter names it has are, well nothing standard to the industry. But most the unit is similar to Audience Adept's AR series. There is just only so much you can do for conditioning power.
