The HIGH END Line by NuPRIME is starting to grow.

First we saw the new REFERENCE 20 monobloc amplifiers with 420wpc each and now one of the best ever products called the IDA-16.

IDA stands for Integrated Digital Amp.

This amp is SMOKIN!! :o

With the incredible success and acceptance of the DDA-100 the IDA-16 steps even further into HIGH Performance.  Audiophiles LOVED the DDA-100 but in reality is was only a candidate for small systems, or systems with exceptionally high sensitivty speakers, due to the lower power ratings.

Well the IDA-16 changes all that.  At 200wpc it will cruise right along with most any speaker in most any system.

But it doesn't stop there.  The DAC chipset is the ESS SABRE and implemented in the best NuPRIME (high end) fashion, along with the tried and tested "Cross-Matrix Capacitors", Super Quality Op amps, and the best Volume Control known.

Oh did I forget, it is the world's first fully integrated digital amplifier offering 384K & DSD decoding

Below is some of the information to this stunning new offering:

Features:

Quote
Full microprocessor control with memory retention

Five digital inputs & one stereo input for complete system flexibility

Supports DSD native playback by ASIO2.1 and DoP method

Theater-Mode pass-through (fixed volume control) function

Ultra low noise JFETs employed in input stage for the lowest possible noise performance

Volume adjustment in 99 precise, 0.5dB increments

Advanced, thin-film switched-resistor ladder network for controlling volume - only a single resistor in the signal path at any volume setting

Individually adjustable volume on each input for precise level matching of all sources

High-standard parts: USB (DSD): XMOS DAC: ESS9018 and OPA2134 for high-quality sound.

Cross-Matrix Array (CMA) capacitor module

Exclusive driver software for Windows

Standard driver software for Mac

Wow!
Any pics to see?

Pics to come.

It is also expected that in the near future, the DAC section of the IDA-16 will also be available as the DAC-10, and the DAC-10h (which includes a headphone jack and amp)

I just ordered the IDA-16 It sounds incredible.

The DAC alone is suppose to be worth much more than the price of the amp!!

I'll everyone know as soon as soon as I get a listen.

I just received a pair of Gallo Reference Strada 2 Speakers with a Gallo TRD2 Bass Module to use with the NU PRIME.

Does anybody have an opinion about this set up?

Pics are supposed to be coming soon.  I believe it is supposed to be similar to the other flat faced and stealth face 18 series chassis size.

The website for the high end NuPrime will also be up soon.  I was able to log into the site being put up, and it has the same look and feel of the NuFORCE regular site.

Yes, there is an ad in the new issue, which should have a better photo, and the same info posted above.

How soon till the Dac-10? I need to replace my Dac-100 :/

Looks like I will receive an "evaluation/demo" unit tomorrow.

Maybe I can shoot a photo or two (I am not a photographer)

Damn it is a beast. I hope the Dac-10 does xlr  :green:

Any word on the sound of this unit compared to the DDA-100? I own one of those, and am interested in the new amp to replace my larger stereo setup. The DDA doesn't use a traditional DAC, but I see these specs include a Sabre model. Any comments on that?

Thanks,
Eric
