I have only one tube in my system, a 6H30P-DR in my Dodds buffer unit. What's the recommended damper for this tube? If it makes any difference, the tube is mounted horizontally.

Go with the Herbies "Ultrasonic" damper. I had your same tube in an ARC REF3. The improvement with the Herbies damper over a damping ring was obvious.

Seems to me the UltraSonic RX9 are the top of the line on Herbie site.
Do it is the best suited to 6N1P / 6N6P??
Thanks

Just through those rings away. We strongly recco Herbies for Dodd 6H30 based preamp to our Dodd customers. Next up Tenderfeet as well. Herbie's products in our opinion are the real deal.
