Split Power & Data USB
« on: 28 Nov 2018, 03:51 pm »
My Split Power & Data cable arrived this past Saturday. This is my third TWL cable. I started with a Spirit II first followed by the American Speaker cable. Both TWL cables replaced more expensive cables. The SP&D cable is now in place of a more expensive USB I have been using.

At this point, with only 5 or 6 hours of casual listening, I can't seem to find any fault with this cable. Pete's note recommends 100 hours for the cable to settle in. I'm scratching my head figuring out how the cable may change during the break in period. It sounds really nice right now. Anybody here using the Split Power & Data USB?

I was a past owner of the SP&D usb cable a couple of years ago. Initial impression was that the bass was a little light. It took 5 days before I started having any 'real' bass extension (was thinking it was a mistake to change to it). So I guess Pete's recommendation of 100 hours sits about right.
