question about a marantz 1060
« on: 17 Apr 2003, 03:59 am »
I recently purchased a marantz 1060 integrated amplifier.  And, while I am very happy with the purchase in many ways, the only setback to this older piece of equipment is an audible whine while the amp is on and either speakers or headphones are plugged in and activated.

Would changing the electrolytic capacitors in the power supply remedy this problem?  If so, where can I find 55v 3000uF caps these days?

Thank you,
-spring
