I am in my mid 70's and Little Richard's music was popular when I was in high school. He was quite the entertainer as well as musical pioneer. RIP

The first rock star
RIP
I was on a bus full of high school musicians the first time I was in Hollywood back in 1982 and someone on the bus saw him walking down the sidewalk, dressed up and struttin. They yelled "Hey Little Richard!" out the bus window and he turned and waved at us with a huge bright smile, everyone went berzerk.
A musician friend's girlfriend grew up in Hollywood, (she was a background screamer on "All Night Long") was waitress at Roscoes Chicken in Hollywood where she got to know him pretty well as he ate there often. She told me he was one of the nicest people she had ever met. Always very kind and happy.

I did not know he was in a wheel chair at the end of his life, and a whole lot of other interesting info.

RIP, Little Richard.
The world is a duller place without you.

If you look at when Rock and Roll started and those who were involved. Then look at where Rock went through the years and still is today, Little Richard is the one who clearly invented it.
The term “ahead of his time” is used a lot, but he is the definition of it.
RIP
