I have an experienced (much more than me) audiophile friend that said it was easily one of THE best preamps he has ever heard.
We compare gear, borrow each others gear and both know what each other likes.
He has had many preamps over the years (tubed). And I like the 6922 tube sound of his Assemblage l-1 He's a guy whose opinion I have found to be reliable. Yes, he might be wrong on this, but I bet he's more right than wrong..He had one, and regrets selling it.
Probably just another merry go-round ride, but maybe not...
I'll look at the Dodd.
