Hey all, my 5ar4 was taken out recently by a bad power tube and I was considering replacing it with a 274b rectifier. The specs for both are pretty similar, both have heater voltage rating of 5 volts and heater current 1.9 vs 2 for the 274b. I will lose the slow start of the 5ar4 but I am willing to risk that, from what I have ready the sonics of the 274b can be much better than a 5ar4.
