It is on the short list.

George

Right on, right on.  I believe it will now be on my short list as well. ;)

I love my BDA-1.  I'm using it with a Squeezebox Touch that has an upgraded power supply.  When I get a new computer sometime in the next several months (less than a year for sure) and get more stuff, especially hi-rez stuff, I'll definitely look at a potential upgrade such as the BDP-1.  The system includes a Modwright 36.5DM pre and KWA150SE amp and the Bryston has great synergy.  I actually had a (solid state) modded BDP-83 and I prefer listening via an HDMI audio de-embedder converting SACD to PCM and going through the BDA-1.

Wow, that is a really nice system!  Do let us know how things sound if you do add the BDP-1 into your system.

I took the plunge and will have the BDP-1/BDA-1 combo sometime next week.

I went for the units in Silver so it will look just like this:

Thanks again to Greg (OgOgilby) for bringing his units over so I could hear what they were capable of in my system.

Congrats George  :thumb:

What did you decide to do about hard drive storage with the BDP-1?

I will most likely use HD's from Oyen Digital or OWC Mercury.
