The first thing to do is see if you're getting what you're paying for by doing speed test.

https://www.speedtest.net/

Let's see where that takes us and go from there.

Generally speaking wired connections are going to be faster, but it depends on the device.

What do you want to achieve?

From what I figure, I need a better switch to increase internal transfer speeds. I could use a link aggregation to increase router to switch bandwidth/speed. Is there a switch that is unmanaged but has link aggregation?

Mainly transfer speeds between PCs.

As to link aggregation, it's the first I've heard of it, so Google to the rescue, but I don't have an answer to specific product availability.

I assume you're using gigabit router, switches and network interfaces within computers. I'm not an expert, but I've never had to consider transfer speeds on a wired network in what little network implementation I've done. It just didn't present a problem.

How does the problem manifest itself?

The best things for internal network pc transfers comes down to having a decent router or 10/100/1000 switch that is hardwired to both pc or stream box and also decent hard drives where data is stored. Solid state hard drives and cat 6 network cables are your friends!
