Thanks man, it does sound quite nice... I'd put it up against a more expensive set up.

Very nice, very cool!   :thumb:

I keep waffling between having my stuff up front (all short cables) and having just my monoblocks there (long IC's from pre).  Your lighting takes the eye away from front equipment and does the job well.

My A/v Room.

Current System includes :

Evolution Acoustics MM3 speakers

Pioneer Elite KURO
- PRO151FHD 60" plasma with articulating arm wall mount.

Boulder 1012 DA/Preamp

Oppo BDP83SE BluRay/Universal Transport

Boulder
1060 Amplifier

Synergistic Research
TESLA PowerCell 10SE power conditioner

JPS LABS - ALUMINATA XLR  interconnects

Virtual Dynamics - UltraClear digital interconnect

Synergistic Research
- Hologram D, T3, and Precision Reference active power cords

Synergistic Research Quattro power source for active cables

Virtual Dynamics
EXODUS speaker cables.

GIK Acoustic Wall Panels

Billy Baggs
PRO Rack System

For power :
(4) dedicated power lines using cryo-treated 10ga wire directly from the circuit breaker box .
(4) TESLA-PLEX cryo'd wall outlets.

There have been a lot of speakers in my system over the years starting with-
JBL Jubles
B&W 802
Legacy 20/20
B&W 801
Wilson Watt3/Puppy2
Genesis II.5
Eggleston Andra
Genesis 200
Sound Lab U1
Dynaudio Temptations
Aerial Acoustics 20T
Evolution Acoustics MM3

I have had a lot of fun with all of them!

There are always going to be certain compromises with any speaker system and what it is used for.
I have always been a 2-channel stereo purist, even with my home A/V systems.
I am probably 40% Music/Concert Blu-Ray and 60% movies.

So far I am happy with my latest speakers and will for sure test them to the extremes.
They image very well and have tight, thunderous bass thanks to the (4) 15" woofers and (2) 1000 watt internal subwoofer amps.
There are controls on the back of each speaker to allow a lot of adjustability with the tweeter and bass output, depending on the room acoustics.
The craftsmanship in these speakers is impeccable and the finish is similar to violin lacquer.

PS- You can read about another fellow audiophile who has the same speakers and his opinions here :

Wow...WOW!

There are some incredible rooms pictured here. Y'all should be proud.
I look at these and say to myself "someday", but live with a pretty lame looking room.
Maybe there should be a thread for the ugliest or most "in flux" room.  :green:

I've listened to Mike L's Evo MM3's many times and they're certainly a very nice sounding pair of speakers.
Your whole system is quite nice as well!

My dedicated home theater / stereo room is almost complete but I still need to stain the front AV cabinet to match the wood on the main speakers.  The room is in my basement and was purpose built to be as symmetrical as possible and sound proofed.  Room treatments includes bass traps in the front corners and treatments on the side walls as well as behind the curtains on the front wall.

Special thanks go to Bryan Pape who helped design the room and place the acoustic treatments.

Nice.

I guess the drumset is acting as a diffusor for the rear wall?

Anand.

Did I mention that the room was sound proofed?   I have my electric drums behind the couch.  Behind the drums is a bit of a walk way and then cabinets on the back wall, which spoiled any possibility of diffusion on the back wall but the cabinets are six feet or so behind me so any reflections are delayed.

Very nice Tom.  I'd think the drums would resonate back there.  I'm sure you have your snare strainer off when listening.

No need Big Red....Cymbals will sound when a certain freq. hits for a time but its not like a typical cymbal sound-crash or whatever its more like a shimmer type sound that get louder as the freq does. I think the freq. that triggers the shimmering is unique to each cymbal.....I'm not 100 percent on that whole thing though...so grain of salt here.

Thank you Big Red.  Since the drums are electronic, all of the skins are now mesh and the metal cymbals are replaced with plastic so there are no resonance issues that could be encountered with traditional drums.

I think it looks great also, and I wasn't trying to slam Big Red by pointing that out about the drums, you guys thats not my way of doing things, and they looked like Brass to me, first time I've seen brass look e-cymbals.

So many of the rooms are incredible, mine is a bedroom...LOL, some clothes on the floor...etc...LOL
