Hello All
1st off I wish I could find a more attractive thread name (sorry)

Here is my quandary 

I have an older but very solid Surround sound receiver  a Rotel RSX 1057

I use this for 5.1 Movies Concerts etc..

All along when it came to TV Movies i never had a problem as my Bell Fibe Box (I'm in Canada) has HDMI out and a separate Digital Audio out

I plan on moving to Videotron (as i save a significant amount of monthly coin) however there Box only has a HDMI out containing video and audio in one

My issue is the Rotel will pass the video through however it only will process audio in via RCA or Digital Optical or Digital COAX

so excuse my ignorance  and i will ask

is there a box/unit whatever that imports a HDMI containing audio and video that would split out the video and send it via HDMI

while splitting out the audio and sending it to my Rotel via COAX or Optical

any help and suggestions would be very much appreciated...

You need a HDMI Breakout Box, it splits the audio and video signals. The boxes are very affordable but I have never used one so don't know the best brand to get.

One feature to note is some only output stereo and some have 5.1 Dolby and DTS SPDIF outputs.
