Thanks for reading! Wadia was creme de la creme back in 90s. Yeah no sub out. I just came back from listening to a top system. D300 has purer highs but it could be the speakers. I have Fortes and they were using the $35k Stenheim Alumine three.

I almost got one off Amazon last week. I decided to hold off until I further evaluate my system. I have a revealing reference amp, the Belles 150v2. I was running my dac in my Denon avr this weekend and seriously contemplating adding a tubed dac. I am running GR XL encores right now as mains due my pair of LS9s are not set up currently due to some renovations going on. For 399.00 is till may pull the trigger on the D300, I could always use it in my office set up if I decide to go another direction. I fully understand system synergy and my musical tastes are all over the place. I'm concerned I may be missing a little dymanics with the D300 for may tastes.

Hey Vince,

I finally installed my second Zen stream to hook up to Musician Pegasus but keep in mind in this chain I am using USB to Gustard U18 DDC then optical to Pegasus. Sounds beautiful with a wee bit more presence and deeper soundstage than D300!
