We just built the first production batch.  We will hopefully have the samples for packing materials tomorrow.  If they are ok, we could ship within a week or a little more hopefully.

Price is not firm yet but looking like $299 ea.

At this point, this is the only finish that's going to be offered.  Not to say that it won't change but for now, it's blonde maple.

BTW this just proves I can get my hands dirty back in the plant.   That is a picture of Carlos, our plant manager and myself working Nov 26th (everyone else had the day off) making the first batch of them.  :green:

Which diffusor would work better, the Q7D or the QRD?  Would these be effective on the ceiling or would something else be better?

Due to the fins the Q7D is going to provide a bit more diffusion. And yes depending on where diffusion is always a great thing for the ceiling.

I just noticed that the Q7D is more than twice the price of the QRD.  If person had $600.00 to spend, mounted on the ceiling, would four QRD provide better diffusion than two Q7D?

Q7D's will have more viscous losses due to the fins.

Which would be more effective would depend on the area that needs to be covered.

Not really sure how one would hang either on the ceiling as they're relatively heavy and not really provisioned for ceiling mount.  More designed for wall mounting.  It could be done I suppose with brackets to the frame.

Hi,
"viscous losses". What does that mean?
