Too funny.

I have an old rotary desk phone on display in my basement, but it is just an art piece. I cut off the cord (from base to wall) a long time ago.

My father worked for Nortel for 32 years, so we always had new phones in the office, but for the longest time we had a wall mount beige rotary in the hallway, so I sought out a black desk one to poke fun at him with.

Hi all Audio Circle members.
Last year my wife bought a table red rotary dial phone for the bed room,
even if our bedroom furniture is in majority white.
Say told me that she likes those retro phones,
because it reminds her of the good old days (She's 54).
I am not a super hi-tech guy,
but I find that dialing a number with a rotary dial phone it's taking too long,
and when you want to reach a government office, you can't (You know the ritual: Dial 1 for this, dial two for that, etc...)
therefore I never us it.
But, I have to admit that it a nice piece of decoration for the house,
it also reminds me of Batman emergency phone, it was also red.

Always thought one of those old phone booths (wooden, not British Dr. Who style) would be a hoot to have in a rec room. But I understand that the AT&T owned them and wouldn't sell them (?). Someday they'll probably go for big bucks as collector's items.
